About the LabMost of our research focuses on fossil vertebrates, such as Mesozoic dinosaurs, although our methods are applicable to a wide variety of forms. The fossil record can tell us much about anatomical variation and how such variation has changed over time. However, it is often difficult to interpret what this variation means. To this end, we adopt a suite of morphometric techniques to define ranges of morphological variation in the fossil record and correlate these with data from the living record. It is our hope that by integrating the present with the past, we may better understand the mechanisms that have, and continue to, shape the world we live in.
